We are glad you found us at our new web address. Building this site to where it is today has been, and continues to be, a labor of love for myself and the team of writers and developers that bring you this site. Started in 2003 we continue to grow and add areas of interest for you and other visitors relevant to the topics of human advancement. Having recently celebrated our 10th anniversary, we want to let you know how important your emails and participation are in helping us understand how we can better our site, content, and overall usefulness and enjoyment. Mr. LaChance is a futurist, author, and consultant, and has been writing on the subjects of science and technology for more than ten years. He is the Executive Director of the Center for Evolutionary Technologies, a non-profit organization promoting education and research in areas of human advancement through the responsible application of technology.

He has been a Management and IT Consultant for nearly 20 years, working with some of the world’s most influential organizations including companies in Fortune’s Global 1000.

Dr. Stanley T. Crawford; Texas, USA – Author

Dr_Stanley_Crawford_Future_Human_Website_ContributorDr. Stanley T. Crawford is an educator, author, poet, and military veteran.  Currently, Stanley serves as a public school administrator in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  He is the author of the book, Cinquains: Volume I.  In addition, he has written several articles on a wide range of topics including education, real options, and nanotechnology.

Dr. Crawford’s education includes a Doctorate in Educational Administration, Master of Arts in Management, a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology, and an Associate of Applied Science in Avionics Systems Technology.

In addition, Stanley served 20 years in the United States Air Force.  In his spare time, he plays Chess, regularly exercises, reads, writes, and participates in various social media venues.

Bijay Dhungel, MS Molecular Biology; Leiden, Netherlands – Author

Jerry Flattum is a Performer/Songwriter & Writer/Editor.  He’s currently recording a series of singles in prep for licensing and commercial release. His first eBook is set to launch Sept 2013 called, Global Entertainment In The 21st Century.

Current columns include “Convergence In Entertainment” for Technorati.com, “What Is A Story?” for Script Magazine.

Jerry has a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Minnesota and has been contributing to the Future Human Evolution Website since 2005.


Norell Hadzimichalis, PhD; USA – Author

Norell_Hadzimichalis_Future_Human_Evolution_Website_ContributorNorell Hadzimichalis, PhD, is a trained molecular biologist with postdoctoral research experience in a prominent neuroscience laboratory.

She holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from Rutgers University/The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She has authored and co-authored multiple peer reviewed research and review articles in journals including Schizophrenia Research, the Journal of Neuroscience, and the American Journal of Physiology: Heart and Circulatory Physiology.

Her current interests are in commercializing basic scientific findings and exploring methods of moving research from the benchside to the bedside.

Nadine Ledesma, PhD; Philippines – Author

Nadine_Ledesma_Future_Human_Evolution_Website_ContributorNadine Ledesma obtained her PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Biology from the University of Tokyo in 2004.

She also has a Certificate in Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Management from Temple University Japan Campus.

She is an experienced academic writer with publications in peer-reviewed journals and several years of editing experience. She is currently studying to become a licensed teacher while working as a freelance writer and editor.


Prashanth Makaram, PhD; Spain – Author

His expertise include nanomaterial processes and devices (specifically carbon nanotubes), micro and nanofabrication processes, thin films and reliability.

He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering/Materials Science from the NSF Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center for High-rate Nanomanufacturing at  Northeastern University , a Post Doctoral Research Associate from MIT and has (co) authored more than 10 scientific publications.

Dr. Makaram also holds a patent in carbon nanotube technology.

Mani Maran, B.Tech; India – Technical Support

In 2008, he earned his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), Information Technology, First Class from Mailam Engineering College / Anna University.

He currently owns and manages SMC webtechie and is a freelance web developer.

Previously he served as an Assistant Lecturer at a private college in Pondicherry.


Gauri Sarda-Joshi, PhD Candidate; Mumbai India – Author

She enjoys writing for academic audiences and working on special projects like the Future Human Evolution website.

Gauri has completed her post-graduation from the Department of Applied Psychology at the University of Mumbai, India; and is currently working towards her PhD.

Her work-related passions include Research Methodology and applications of Social Psychological theory.

Anum Sidhu, MS Clinical Psychology; Pakistan – Author


Presently Anum is practicing Clinical Psychology at a private clinic. She recently completed her MS in Clinical Psychology from University of the Punjab, Pakistan and B.Sc in Occupational Therapy from University of Health Sciences, Pakistan. She is currently pursuing her broad range of interests in the field including Health Psychology, Positive Psychology, Social Psychology, Behavior Psychology, Child Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Psychological Testing, and a number of therapies such as CBT, REBT, Behavior Therapy, Drug Therapy, Gestalt therapy, and Family Therapy.

Anum is continually working on research projects and as time allows enjoys article and report writing, editing, and blogging as hobbies.

Susan Siegfried, PhD; USA – Author

Susan_Siegfried_Future_Human_Evolution_Website_ContributorDr. Susan Siegfried holds a BA in English and German both with state teaching certification from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN. She earned a MA from St. Mary’s University in Minnesota in Counseling Psychology as well as a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Minnesota School of Professional Psychology.

She worked at The Evangelical Free Church Counseling Center, Aspen Medical Center and in private practice for 20 years.

She presently is semi-retired, teaching in the Minnesota State University System, DeVry University, and previously at Argosy University. She is the author of two books, Aging Joyfully and It’s about the Ripples.

Koné Mamadou Tadiou, PhD; Boston, MA, USA – Author

Kone_Mamadou_Tadiou_Future_Human_Evolution_Website_ContributorSince June 2009, Dr. Koné Mamadou Tadiou is a researcher at International Computing Research (ICR) in Boston, MA. Previously, he worked as a research scientist at the National /Panasonic, Tokyo Information and Communications Research Laboratory, and was assistant professor at the Department of computer science and engineering, Université Laval in Québec. There, he taught the emerging field of Semantic Web, the future of the World Wide Web (graduate) and the technological foundations of eCommerce (undergraduate course)

He received a Ph.D. in computer science while he was a research associate at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), and earned a master degree in mathematical and computing science from the Tokyo Institute of Technology (TIT), Japan.

Currently, Dr. Tadiou is involved in research on software agents technology and the Semantic Web with their applications to a wide range of fields.  He is co-editor of three books and contributed articles to numerous international workshops, conferences and journals. In particular, he was the principal organizer of the first semantic Web symposium in Canada in June 2006 and is an active member of several scientific program committees.

Devin Young, B.S. Bachelor of Science; USA – Web Developer & Programmer

Devin_Young_Future_Human_Evolution_Website_ContributorDevin earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio State University and is pursuing a career in Information Technology.

In addition to the Future Human Evolution Website, current and recent clients include TopGolf, WebDev Designs, LLC, Anchor Marketing & Design, LLC, and others.

As an avocation, Devin head-coaches a (US) national championship sports team mentoring youths and young adults on athleticism, sportsmanship, and character.
